Assignment Folder Making
This session was prepared and led by Md Kew Yok Fong
As we only get to meet the children once a week on Thursday 10am ~ 12noon, whatever that has been taught or shared by the mentors are undone during the rest of the week. Therefore, the mentors came up with assignments to keep them busy for an hour a day, until we meet up again on Thursday. However, the assignments are usually lost or misplaced and end up back to square one, without assignments to hand-up and forgotten everything that was taught the week before..
Md. Kew came up with the idea of helping the children to learn to be responsible. She designed a folder for the children to keep their assignments. She prepared the materials and taught the children to make their own folder. The children were given a free-hand to draw pictures to give their folder their own uniqueness so that they do not mixed-up their folders. However, all of them just drew the VOICE logo.

During this folder making session, we had the assistance of two volunteers under a local youth volunteer program. We were requested by Ms. Raj to guide the youth volunteers.
