Butterfly Artwork

This session was prepared and led by Md. Gerri Fong

Follow-up to the session on “The Very Hungry Caterpillar”, Gerri wrapped it up with a session of making the butterfly, to complete the transformation. Gerri wanted to remind the children that every one of them had a fair chance to grow-up as beautiful as a butterfly and the ability to fly freely when they study and work hard.

The butterfly artwork, designed by mentor Gerri Fong, has a handle where the children can hold the butterfly. This was to facilitate the children to hold the butterfly and dance to the tune of “Fly Fly the Butterfly” by Muffin Songs. The YouTube link to this song is https://youtu.be/jflZseWtmyl . The children love this song so much that they kept requesting this song to be sung before the class ends each time.
