Covid-19 Pandemic @ Kg Jader
The teachers at Kampung Jader Community Class started "Program Mari Membaca" (Let's Read Programme) in May 2021, after approximately 4 months Kg. Jader Community Class started. However, with the movement control order (MCO) enforced in June 2021, the community class has to be suspended to be in compliance with the MCO.
The teachers did not let the Covid-19 pandemic dampen their passion for teaching and definitely did not allow it to rob the children of the opportunity to continue to learn. They prepared homework assignments for each students to keep them occupied at home.
In view of the student's test scheduled for end-June 2021, and to ensure the effort to hold the test is not wasted, the teachers did face-to-face revision with the students, while adhering to the MCO and social distancing requirements. Each day, the teachers got 3 students to the class for revision.

From 27th to 29th June, 2021, the students test was held successfully, with the same mode of operation i.e. 3 students a day to sit for the test.
The teachers were glad they proceeded to hold the test, as it present to the teachers the shortfall or progress of the students.
While the students age 5 and 6 are able to count and write on their own, their command of the English language is still weak. As for the students age 4, as they have difficulty to speak, let alone counting.
With such dedication from the teachers, VOICE is most encouraged and will look into ways and means on how we can support and assist the teachers, other than just financial support.
