This session was prepared and led by Md. Yein-Hieng Mah
Being the sister of the Founder, doing charity, runs in the family! Auntie Hieng actively shares her time and talent doing charity work back in Australia. She spends time with the old folks by fetching them around and having small gatherings with them. In addition, she teaches English and shares her talent in handicraft with the refugees’ community.
Obviously, while visiting relatives in Malaysia, she made time for VOICE. Auntie Heing readily accepted the invitation to share her time with the children. When she was given a free hand on the topic to share, she chooses to spread the Love of Jesus.

The class started with the one-to-one session with Auntie Hieng helping the children with their assignments. With her dedication and love of children, it is most unfortunate she can’t stay longer to assist the children further.

After the one-to-one session, Auntie Hieng shared a story of herself when she was a little girl. We were surprised with what she went through being a lonely girl in school not having friends. She went on to encourage the children not to be despaired, for when they felt lonely, just remember that Jesus is always there for them.
Then she went on to teach the children the song “Jesus Loves Me”. In view of the different capabilities of the children to learn the whole song, Auntie Hieng chose a short and meaningful verse to focus on. The verse that we all learn together with the children was as follows: -

Jesus love me this I know
For the Bible tells me so
Little ones to him belong
They are weak but He is strong
Yes, Jesus loves me,
Oh, yes Jesus loves me
Yes, Jesus loves me
For the Bible tells me so
Would like to take this opportunity to register our heartfelt thanks to Auntie Hieng for sharing her time with the children, and inspiring us with her charity endeavours in Australia.
